Model description KS-65721
KC-65721 60-ton truck crane is mounted on VOLVO FM400 (8 x 4) chassis. The crane is designed for loading/unloading and construction/assembly operations. All chassis have great maneuverability which allows for use of the crane at hard-to-reach sites and its small dimensions make it easy to operate in confined area.
Crane is operated via two axial-piston hydraulic pumps, which are set to operation by the carrier engine through the gearbox and additional PTO. Crane mechanisms have individual drives with independent control. Crane hydraulic system ensures smooth control of all mechanisms with wide range of operations adjustment levels, and allows for simultaneous combination of load-lifting operations.
For better operation an electric hydraulic proportion control system is installed at the crane, which makes the work more smooth and fine.
KC-65721 cranes assembly is performed at a specialized highly technological boom production line named TADANO. Boom metalwork was manufactured in Germany in compliance with state-of-the-art technologies, using high-yield-point WELDOX steel. The other critical units of the crane and its frame are also made of high-yield-point steel. Initial arm length is 11.7 m, it provides maneuverability and reduces space needed for the crane to move. Maximum length of 5 sections extended is 42.1 m which enlarges its operating area and increases load-lifting height. The arm can telescope while having weight on its hook which allows the crane to perform the following operations: place cargo at hard-to-teach spots, transport it through mounted framework.
Support contour dimensions (7,56 х 7,2) are reached for the account of outriggers use. This solution allows the crane to operate in 360 degrees zone and minimize the number of moves during operation.
The boom is additionally equipped with 15.1 m flying jib, 9.1 m foot section and 6 m telescoping part which can be positioned at 15 and 30 degrees to the boom axis and significantly enlarges crane operating range and under-boom space.
Use of additional counterweight allows for improvement of load-lifting capacity and provide the best characteristics among this particular group of cranes.
The crane has atomatic system of installation of counterweights.

Crane operating is safe due to lots of sophisticated devices, including microprocessor load limiter with operational parameters indication on the operator’s display up in the cab. The device protects the crane from overloading, featuring coordinate protection necessary for operation in confined area. It also has integrated telemetry recording unit (so-called “black box”) and hazardous voltage protection module allowing for work close to power lines.
